Louisiana Master Naturalists
The Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater New Orleans exists to advance awareness, understanding, and stewardship of the natural environment by developing a corps of well-informed citizen volunteers dedicated to conservation, education, and service within their communities.
Loving Festival
The New Orleans Loving Festival is a Multiracial Community Celebration and Film Festival that challenges racism through outreach and education. The festival also honors the legacy of Richard and Mildred Loving, the interracial couple whose 1967 landmark civil rights lawsuit "Loving v. Virginia" ended all race-based legal restrictions on marriage in the US.
Green Light New Orleans
Green Light New Orleans invests energy in people by assisting New Orleans residents in person, one household at a time. Volunteers install free energy saving light bulbs and backyard vegetable gardens to demonstrate that a mass movement of individual actions creates a significant impact on our environment and community.
The Green Project
The Green Project builds a culture where materials are used to their fullest extent rather than sent to the landfill after one use. As the Gulf South region's only paint recycling facility, they divert thousands of gallons of paint annually from our fragile wetlands while their environmental education program fosters the next generation of eco-minded citizens. Their warehouse store provides a low cost alternative for building materials, while keeping over 6 tons of usable materials from the waste stream each day.
Step Up Louisiana
Step Up Louisiana is committed to building political power to win education and economic justice for all. Their members step up and organize from a racial justice perspective to hold political and community leaders accountable.
A portion of sales from our Pelican shirts support Step Up Louisiana's work to make Louisiana a just and equitable place to live.
