This shirt is inspired by the Loving Festival's motto, "Love Y'all." It honors Richard and Mildred Loving, the interracial couple whose 1967 landmark civil rights lawsuit "Loving v. Virginia" ended all race-based legal restrictions on marriage in the US.
As a special offering this Pride Month, we want to highlight another group of people who have fought for the right to marry.
In 1970, the first Pride parades marched in the U.S, demanding the civil rights and equal justice under the law for LGBTQ Americans. It took decades of organizing until the right to marry was extended nationwide to gay couples in 2015.
A portion of sales from every Rainbow Love Y'all tank supports the Campaign for Southern Equality, to build a South where LGBTQ people are equal in every sphere of life.
